Counterpart Binary Stem starts line toward zero or one Counterpart Binary Stem
Counterpart Binary Stem ends line from zero or one Counterpart Binary Stem
In a Bending Binary Connector, a line is drawn between two Counterpart Binary Stems. The terms “start” and “end” are used to establish an arbitrary ordering of the Bends so that we can refer to a next or previous Bend while computing and drawing the lines.
While this reflexive association is conditional, in fact there is a constraint that every Counterpart Binary Stem is either a start or an end stem, but never both.
