this surfaced as part of trying to update galaxy tool wrappers to 2.5.93, and then cfel tests started failing there. the error was:
the test data files i add here are the same ones failing there, to try to prove to myself i actually found and fixed a thing. perfectly happy to find out ive completely misunderstood something
