Welcome to the University of Michigan Department of Physics Events wiki!

I hope this wiki will help in both using and understanding the program. The point of this project was to be able to automate the seminars and colloquia email that goes out every Monday morning in the Physics Department here at U-M. In order to do this, I relied on a few things to get the program to work--it's a bit of an amalgamation of different web-scraping tactics to get all the required information for the email.

Note: this is not to remove the human element of this task, but instead make it less prone to errors; it still requires a human to verify the output and modify anything that it flags as not correct. These flags arise from a variety of reasons, learn more here.
