Sangkan (Javanese: The Source / The Origin) is an independent open-source foundry. We are dedicated to building fast, reliable, and accessible developer tools, infrastructure automation, and AI-driven systems.
We don't aim for enterprise bloat; we build practical, bare-metal performance tools for everyday developers and tinkerers.
Rather than focusing on a single product, Sangkan operates as a playground for solving complex engineering problems across three main pillars:
- Cybersecurity & AI Agents: Experimenting with dynamic security scanners, CDP (Chrome DevTools Protocol) integrations, and local LLM tool calling.
- Developer Tooling: Crafting blazing-fast, cross-platform utilities that respect system resources and improve daily workflows.
- Cloud & Infrastructure: Exploring modern deployment architectures, orchestrators, and serverless PaaS dashboards.
We are stack-agnostic pragmatists. We believe in using the right tool for the right job—balancing bare-metal performance with rapid development. While we explore various technologies based on project needs, our current favorite weapons include:
- Rust: For performance-critical core engines, CLI utilities, and AI agent orchestration (e.g., Dalang, Deras).
- Laravel / PHP: Our go-to framework for building robust, complex backend architectures and PaaS systems (e.g., Saka).
- Svelte / SvelteKit: For crafting clean, reactive, and highly optimized web interfaces.
- Tauri: For bridging our web frontends with native desktop environments securely.
- Whatever works best: We adapt our tools based on the problem at hand, not the hype.
