I am a Gen X dude who has been online since the days of V.23 and 9-pin dot matrix printers. I am busy getting on with my thing and don't feel the need to humblebrag to the whole world about my accomplishments. I don't care about followers, or acquiring kudos, the need for validation, or participating in ceremony over delivery. My musical taste is pretty eclectic (initially influenced by Tangerine Dream, Yello, and Can) and I've recently discovered opera (and when it comes to Il barbiere di Siviglia, my preference is for the performance by Callas and Gobbi). I cut my teeth, like everybody else in the early 1980s, programming BASIC and 6502 assembler while listening to the Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy on the radio; these days I'm into Go, Lisp, SwiftUI, TypeScript, et al.; I know more than enough to be dangerous in C, C++, Dart/Flutter, PDF/PostScript, PHP, and Python.
My tcp/ip arrives via an optical cable (FTTH FTW).
My timezone is UTC+1.
I graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Design and Innovation and I have a Master in Fine Art (MFA).
If you haven't already done so, I highly recommend that you read Albert-László Barabási's Linked, Douglas Coupland's Microserfs, William Gibson's Neuromancer, Robert A. Heinlein's Stranger in a Strange Land, Julian May's Saga of Pliocene Exile, and Robert M. Pirsig's Zen and the Art of Motocycle Maintenance.
