VP of Engineering at Akieni. 10 years building software in Central Africa.
I manage a team of 18 engineers shipping systems for government, healthcare, and commerce — infrastructure that people depend on daily. Before that I was a freelance developer, then CTO at Cowema where we scaled to 30K+ users.
Most of my work is private by necessity. What's here reflects what I think about and build in my own time.
I maintain open source packages built out of real production needs:
- momo-api — MTN Mobile Money integration for PHP. Handles collections, disbursements and remittances, because integrating fintech in Africa shouldn't require reading three conflicting PDFs.
- momo-api-node — same thing, for Node.js.
- momo-api-python — same thing, for Python.
- laravel-onesignal — OneSignal push notification channel for Laravel. iOS, Android and web in one package.
I write occasionally at lepresk.com/blog when I have something concrete to say — no opinion pieces, just technical walkthroughs of things I've actually built.
