To run gstack smoothly on your Windows computer, make sure you have:
- Windows 10 or later
- At least 4 GB of RAM
- 500 MB of free disk space
- An internet connection for installation and updates
- A screen resolution of 1280x720 or higher

First, you need to download and install gstack. Since the download link points to a general project page, you will find the latest version there.
Click the badge above to visit the page. Look for the latest release under the Releases section. You will find installer files with .exe extensions.

- Scroll down to find the Releases section on the right.
- Click the latest release version (for example, "v1.0" or later).
- Download the file ending with
.exe. This is the installer.
Once you have the installer file, follow these steps:
- Find the downloaded
.exefile on your computer (usually in the Downloads folder). - Double-click the file to start the installation.
- If Windows asks for permission, click Yes.
- Follow the setup wizard instructions. Use the default options unless you want to change the install location.
- When the installation completes, the app will open automatically or create a shortcut on your desktop.
When you open gstack, you will see a clean dashboard. It separates the roles you manage:
- CEO
- Designer
- Engineering Manager
- Release Manager
- Documentation
- Quality Assurance
Each role has its own set of tools shown in different tabs. You can click through each tab to explore features.
- Set your project name in the CEO tab.
- Add team members or roles you want to include.
- Create tasks or goals for each role.
- Track progress using the Engineering Manager tools.
- Schedule releases under the Release Manager tab.
- Add notes and documents for easy access.
- Review quality checks in the QA section.
gstack checks for updates automatically at startup. If an update is available, you will see a notification. Install updates the same way you installed the first version by downloading the latest .exe from the Releases page.
- If the app doesn’t open, try restarting your computer.
- Make sure no other app is blocking the installation.
- Check that your Windows version meets the minimum requirements.
- Run the installer as Administrator if needed: right-click the
.exefile and select Run as administrator. - Close antivirus software temporarily during installation if the process hangs.
- Visit the project page for updates or support if issues persist.
If you run into problems, you can:
- Check the Issues section on the project page for similar problems.
- Post a new issue describing your problem clearly.
- Use built-in help menus inside gstack for guidance on each role.
- Restart or reinstall the app if something stops working.
