File Weight Loss is an application for macOS, Windows and Linux that allows you to compress videos and music with minimal quality loss.

Installation

macOS

After downloading and opening the .dmg file: Follow these instructions when you see the message:
"File Weight Loss" cannot be opened because it is from an unidentified developer.

Windows

1. Download the .exe file from the releases section.
2. Run the installer.

File Weight Loss will be installed directly on your PC, and you can then delete the installer. An alert message may appear when you first open the app. You can ignore it.

Linux

1. Download the tar.xz file from the releases.
2. Extract the file.
3. Open a terminal in the extracted folder.
4. Run the command chmod +x ./install.sh to make the script executable.
5. Run the command ./install.sh to launch the installation script.
6. Make sure you have the following dependencies installed:
   • ffmpeg
   • keybinder-3.0
