Welcome to the Ibex Gaming League rules repository! This guide will help you make changes to tournament rules and submit them for review.
This repository contains the official rules for different games in the Ibex Gaming League:
- counterstrike2.md - Rules for Counter-Strike 2 tournaments
- rocketleague.md - Rules for Rocket League tournaments
- Find the rule file you want to modify (e.g.,
counterstrike2.mdorrocketleague.md) - Click the file to open it
- Click the pencil icon (✏️) to edit the file
- Make your changes directly in the text editor
- Add a description of what you changed in the "Commit changes" section at the bottom
- Choose "Create a new branch" and give it a descriptive name
- Click "Propose changes"
After making changes, you'll automatically be taken to create a pull request:
- Add a clear title describing your changes
- Write a description explaining:
- What rules you changed
- Why you made these changes
- How it affects the tournament
- Click "Create pull request"
- Tournament administrators will review your changes
- They may ask questions or request modifications
- Once approved, your changes will be merged into the official rules
For detailed information about using GitHub, check out the official documentation:
- ✅ Be specific about what you're changing
- ✅ Explain why the change is needed
- ✅ Keep changes focused on one topic per pull request
- ✅ Test your changes by reading through the rules
- ❌ Don't make too many unrelated changes at once
- ❌ Don't forget to explain your reasoning
If you need help or have questions, reach out to the tournament administrators on the Ibex Gaming Discord.
