I'm a student and researcher at the University of Georgia's Institute for Artificial Intelligence.
My work centers on Markov decision processes, reinforcement learning, digital forestry, and applied machine learning systems. A core belief of mine is that machine learning shouldn't just be for developers, engineers, and academics, so you'll often find me working on projects that seek to close the gap between the technical types and lay people.
I work across research, systems design, and production engineering to deliver end-to-end solutions across whichever domain is peaking my interest at the time.

Designing a Markov Decision Process framework to model stochastic pine stand growth under disturbances such as fire, wind, and pests. The goal is to quantify how deterministic forest valuation underestimates risk and long-term economic variability by comparing against Monte Carlo–based stochastic valuations.

Structured Equilibrium Timber Supply (SETS) is an optimization model for timber markets in the U.S. Southeast developed by Dr. Bruno da Silva at the University of Georgia's Warnell School of Forestry and Natural Resources. My work on this project is focused on building an accessible web interface for SETS that allows full interactivity with the sophisticated modeling software using a modern web development stack.
