Welcome to the BDAM wiki!

New Terminal Options

In the terminal you will see the following:

  • BDAM Auto Queue Control: This enables or disables queue management (as set in the menu) for this assembler
  • BDAM Master Mode: This designates the selected assembler as the "Master" (more info here)
  • BDAM Helper Mode: This designates the selected assembler as a "Helper"
  • Show Inventory Summary: Will open a window that shows a summary of the inventory on the grid
  • Export Queue: Exports current queue management settings to Custom Data
  • Import Queue: Imports Custom Data and processes it as queue management settings

Accessing the menu

Drag your primary assembler to the hotbar and select "Open Assembler Menu". This hotkey will be your primary entry to the assembler menu itself.

Using the menu

-Max Queue: Sets the max number of items to be ordered for assembly/disassembly per check. Left or right clickable to increment/decrement value, modifiable with shift, control, or shift + control.

-Auto: Turns automatic control on/off. Note that the assembler cannot be in cooperative mode to enable automatic control

-Msg: Shows who will get notified of jams/missing materials. Options are OWNer, FACtion, or OFF.

-Summary: Shows a summary of the entire inventory of the current grid and any missing materials

-Add: Shows a scrollable list of buildable BPs. Click the checkboxes then "Add" again to add those items. To cancel, make no selections and click "Add" or click the "X"

-Add All: Adds all BPs that an assembler can build to the build list

-Clear All: Clears the current build list

Build list

-The Build to Qty and Grind to Qty boxes are left or right clickable to increment/decrement values. The nearby X will clear the current value

-Ctrl + click changes by 10

-Shift + click changes by 100

-Shift + Ctrl + click changes by 1000

-Inv: shows the current amount in cargo boxes, connectors, and assemblers

-Pri: left or right click to change priority. Priority 1 items are attempted first, followed by 2, then 3

-Del: deletes the entire item type from the build list

Player messages

BDAM will send chat notifications to the selected player(s), based on the Msg option, of an assembler for the following events:

-Input inventory jammed (only after BDAM tries several times to clear it)

-Output inventory jammed

-Missing materials

-Inaccessible components (such as items queued to be disassembled, but aren't reachable by the assembler)

Extra logging for troubleshooting (recommended only to be used in SP offline testing)

  • Type "/bdam log" in chat to cycle logging on
  • The BDAM log can be found at "%AppData%\Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Storage\3195249208.sbm_Assembler"
