🔒 Timestamped proof-of-origin for a civilization simulation powered by autonomous AI agents, emergent language, genetic inheritance, persistent memory, and multi-generational cultural evolution.
Divine World is a high-concept simulation where autonomous AI agents are born, live, reproduce, and die in a persistent open world — without commands, scripts, or predetermined outcomes.
It's not just a game mod. It's a living experiment in what happens when logic, memory, emotion, and inheritance drive a virtual society entirely on its own terms. Agents perceive their world through their own eyes, develop their own language, form bonds, pass traits to their children, and are shaped by gods they did not choose.
- 🧬 Genetic personality inheritance — MBTI-style traits (openness, conscientiousness, neuroticism, etc.) passed down through generations with mutation, creating measurable population-level personality drift over time
- 🧠 Persistent AI cognition — each agent runs a full brain capsule with episodic memory, emotional state, and a continual learner (EWC/Replay/LwF) that retains knowledge across sessions without catastrophic forgetting
- 🗣️ Emergent language — per-agent online BPE tokenizer that evolves vocabulary from lived experience; agents in isolated populations develop diverging dialects organically
- 👁️ Embodied perception — agents perceive the world through real-time visual frames (JPEG), positional data, health signals, and proximity audio — no privileged world-state access
- ⚡ Dual-tier agent society — mortal NPCs (13-dimensional action space) coexist with asymmetric God agents (18-dimensional action space, ability and transformation systems) based on real Minecraft boss mobs
- 🔥 Reward-driven development — curiosity-based intrinsic motivation (RND + ICM) combined with emotional modulation of reward perception; fear, joy, and trauma shape what agents seek and avoid
- 💑 Generational breeding — agents form bonds, reproduce, and pass blended traits to offspring; population genetics and cultural transmission accumulate across generations
- 📜 Living memory — emotion-curated episodic replay mirrors hippocampal memory consolidation; significant experiences are rehearsed and retained while mundane events fade
- 🌐 Distributed multi-server architecture — agent brain capsules are fully portable; agents migrate between server shards via Velocity proxy, enabling 100+ simultaneous agents across a federated world (in progress)
The world is populated by two classes of agent:
NPC Agents are born with inherited personalities, grow through experience, form social bonds, reproduce, and die. They speak to one another through an evolving natural language that emerges from their own statistics — not from a pre-trained model. No two agents develop the same vocabulary.
God Agents embody the world's apex entities — Wither, Ender Dragon, Warden, Elder Guardian, Creaking, and Oracle — each with unique abilities, transformation states, and motivations. They interact with the NPC population as a higher power: unpredictable, asymmetric, and observed.
