use the Command Palette to define variables

Is it possible to add a setting that determines if to use the current interface or the command pallete?
I think the process would feel more fluid and intuitive if you can continue to answer questions in command pallete.

It behaved as what you described in early versions. I changed it to what it is now because of the poor experience when there are several questions to answer.
Well, maybe I should provide an option.
