Chart display change from click and drag

Is it possible to expose the functionality to filter line graph contents by clicking and dragging in the chart area? The previous iteration of the software I work on used chart.js and the users got used to manipulating displayed graphs in this manner.

If not, would it be possible to get x-axis chart values from the control based on mouse events?
