Recommended build environment #23

Hello,
I'm running in to the same issue as covered by #10 trying to build in ubuntu containers. Though since I'm only experimenting I can easily try with other combinations of OS, gcc version, autoconf version, etc.
Would you be able to share any details on the environment you are using to build vireo? Which version of gcc/autoconf, and which versions of L-SMASH and the other dependencies for instance.
