Exported JSON file is empty (0 bytes)

I am using the latest available version of Showly installed via F-Droid on Android.
When I try to export my data using the in-app export option, the app creates a JSON file, but the file size is 0 bytes (completely empty). And I have more than 100 in my history or watchlist.
