Yes.
Buy the way, sometimes I may be interrupted by something, so a easy way to stop (eg. a keyboard shortcut may be helpful) and continue the current task is a good advance.

I wrote gem talks which can be helpful with setup a kind of notification user want to. It works on mac os and other *nix systems if there espeak installed. I'd like to make pull request if it makes sense.
