Question about DFPlayer usage in BulkyModem Audio module

Hi,

While studying the BulkyModem schematics I noticed the optional Audio module that contains a DFPlayer Mini connected through AUDIO_TX and AUDIO_RX.

Hardware-wise this is clear, but I could not find any firmware references to this audio functionality.

Specifically:

Is the DFPlayer Mini actually supported by the BulkyModem firmware?

Is there any Zimodem configuration or custom firmware that sends commands to the DFPlayer over AUDIO_TX/AUDIO_RX?

Or was the audio module only intended as an experimental/optional add-on?

I am trying to understand whether this module is expected to work with the standard Zimodem firmware or if additional software is required.

No, I never got around to adding support for it in any way. At the time the Zimodem author was adding a lot here and there so I figured it wasn't the time, and then forgot all about it 😅
