Line subdivision highlighting is defective

When subdividing a line (with the data entry string "1 2 3 4"), I tried 
clicking on the "Measured from end of line" radio button. The magenta 
highlighting of the points looks wrong (I'm only seeing 3 sections). However, 
if I proceed to ok the edit, the line does get properly subdivided.
