I am the founder and main maintainer of Admidio, an open source project that I started in 2004. From the very beginning, my goal was to create a free and sustainable solution that would help associations and communities—independent of commercial interests. To this day, Admidio is supported by a small team that has grown and shrunk over the years.

Most of the work on Admidio is done on a voluntary basis. It was never my goal to make money with the project, but rather to build something meaningful and useful in the long term. At the same time, a project with this duration naturally entails ongoing costs and a constant investment of time.

Donations help to keep Admidio running sustainably. Some of the money goes into infrastructure such as servers, domains, and tools. Another part benefits me personally—for example, for things I purchase and consciously associate with the project. These can be small or large purchases that bring me joy and at the same time motivate me to continue working on Admidio.
