Feature or improvement you want

Tap-to-scroll/page turning for articles. Users could tap on the screen (maybe in a designated zone, like the bottom of the screen) to advance the article.

Why should this be added?

I'd love to use Feeder on my e-ink tablet. However, Feeder requires a lot of scrolling, and scrolling on e-ink is not optimal.

Many e-ink friendly apps (like Kindle, Libby) implement page-turning/tap-to-scroll. Handy Reading has also implemented this.

Some apps have implemented this via volume buttons, but this is not ideal, as not all tablets have volume buttons.

Thank you for Feeder! It's a great app.

There is a draft PR for something like this: #200

But it's nowhere near as good as "turning the page". It just scrolls a "large amount".

There is no way to know how much content is on the screen, and hence not possible to scroll to content that is "off-screen". :(

I think that would be just as good here. Apps like EinkBro and Handy Reading work the same way, and are still e-ink friendly.

I'm looking in the menu of Handy Reading, and I see an option: "Page Scroll 90%". If unchecked, the whole page will be scrolled.

It depends on how the app is built. I have no knowledge of what you are referring to, but Feeder used Jetpack Compose and with that framework there is no way to truly know if something is off-screen or not.
