backgroundGrid function

I keep running into issues when creating a suitable background grid from my raster stack of environmental variables. I'm able to get the tutorial biostack to run, and I'm able to get some of my environmental variables to work at certain extents, but many times I end up with the error

Error: nrow(coords) > 0 is not TRUE

yet these inputs all have values for nrows and they're projected. I've tried using the function backgroundGrid with multiple rasters and I can't identify a pattern for when it runs and when it doesn't, but most of the time it won't run for me and gives me the error above.

Any thoughts would be very much appreciated.

The latest version of mopa is available at https://github.com/SantanderMetGroup/mopa. However, there have been significant enhancements in the package and will be available in a new release soon. Until then, you could try using function backgroundGrid from the devel branch: https://github.com/SantanderMetGroup/mopa/blob/devel/R/backgroundGrid.R
