Description
I’ve heard multiple users describe the current Linux Mint logo as both ugly and outdated. While I’m not a designer, I do think there is room for improvement. The logo combines the letters “L” and “M,” but the “L” is redundant, since “Mint” alone clearly identifies the distribution. If the developers prefer a letter‑based logo, using just the letter “M” or the full word “Mint” would be more effective. Personally, I find the approaches used by Ubuntu, Debian, and Fedora more appealing, since they rely on distinctive symbols rather than letters. A similar direction for Linux Mint—for instance, a stylized green mint leaf—could work very well.
