Can't toggle legend (in Neovim)

Thanks for the plugin :).

I'm trying to use it in Neovim, and it displays correctly on startup.
If I add let g:legend_active_auto = 0 to my vimrc, then it doesn't appear, as expected.

But when it's running, I can't use LegendToggle (or LegendDisable / LegendEnable). There is no error message, but simply it doesn't make any change to the gutter.
