Tool request: sort anchors across masters

Sometimes, for a variety of reasons, I end up with different anchor orders in different masters. It would be helpful to have a tool that would sort anchors across masters. Options could be either to specify one anchor as providing the anchor order to which all the other masters should be matched, or to alphabetise the anchor order across all the masters. The first of these is the more useful, I think, because for complex anchor projects such as Vedic Devanagari I want to order the anchors in groups.

It would also be helpful if there were a verbose output report option that would report glyphs with missing anchors in one or more masters.

Populates masters in the combo box from the current active font. Perhaps the name of the button was a wrong choice.

New idea: would it be possible to add an option to sort anchors by a list?

Ideally, I like all my anchors to be sorted across all glyphs and all layers according to some intuitive groupings. During the process of adding and editing anchors, some of the order gets messed up in some glyphs, and I’d like to be able to restore it across the glyph set.

My idea is to have a list of anchor names (preferably one per line, but comma-separated would be okay) and the tool would go through each glyph/layer and sort the existing anchors according to the list. Obviously, the ist is a superset of all the anchors in the font, not all of which will occur on all glyphs. It would be helpful to report back any anchors that exist in glyphs but not in the list.
