Action type choosing

When I was messing in my modpack, I found out that when you are selecting the type of action (allow crafing/allow mining etc.) you have to find a perticular item from the list of all items (mod items included).
This is very inconvenient when you don't know which item does what. I think a simple list of types of action would be much easier to work with.
