Click on a day's bar displayed in bar graph to see stats for just that day

Here's an idea that keeps occurring to me each time I use Koko Analytics.

At the moment, when you hover over a day's bar in the bar graph you can see the visitor and page view counts:

But you can't see the actual pages, referrers etc for that single day unless you go manually change the date range, and then the bar graph disappears.

Wouldn't it be nice if you could just click the bar for the day and it changes to showing just that day's stats tables?

As well as changing the stats tables, I see two ways that the bar graph could change to reflect the selection:

• The selected bar is highlighted in some way, but otherwise stays pretty much the same for easily clicking through days to see their stats.
• The graph changes to show bars for each hour of the day, similar to as requested in Hourly granularity #216. Bonus points for being able to click on an hour to highlight that bar and show stats for just that hour.

I think I prefer the second option, being able to drill down and see stats for each hour would be very handy.

I like the idea @ianmjones!

Currently, the plugin stores data on a daily granularity to save on both storage and processing, so the hourly detail won't be possible without changing that but perhaps there is a future where Koko Analytics stores hourly for a while (eg somewhere between 7 and 90 days) before reducing granularity to daily.
