360 wireless controller doesn't work

Hello I have a receiver and a wireless 360 controller I looked everywhere but I still can't connect it I have looked at video's and looked all over google what I found was this site: https://tattiebogle.net/index.php/ProjectRoot/Xbox360Controller/OsxDriver I did everything I could do to make it work but it did not does anyone know how I could make it work please let me know what I need to do.
