Work directly with DirectShow or AForge dll's?

Is it possible to call any of the DirectShow calls without a custom wrapper? If not can you release the source code for WebCamInterface.dll? It would be helpful to have a starting point otherwise I'm going to try and start my own wrapper from scratch.
