Pointer over images

I think the pointer doesn't appear over images, which is particularly annoying when a diagram needs explanations.

I'd really like to highlight over images as well, as most presentations that I have contain some form of diagram where it'd be helpful to go through. Any hints on fixing this? Or pointers for a contribution?
