I have forked is_valid to make it work in the browser via Transcrypt:

I don't know if that use case interests you (building web applications in the Python language and sharing code between client and server), but if it does, then you should know the alterations done so far aren't very substantial and I can certainly see them being integrated into the original project so it supports Transcrypt directly, thus extinguishing the fork.
Please let me know if that's something that might interest you.
If you prefer to keep the 2 projects separate, I ask that you leave this issue open so other people can find transvalid.
