Improve link entry experience in lists

Completion of a link seems to be only triggered by adding a space after the link, making adding links in a list awkward, as hitting enter does nothing. In this GIF I first of all hit enter (twice) to get my next bullet, but then the link is not highlighted/recognized.
Adding a space after the link the hitting enter gets my bullet but leaves a space, if I try to delete it I lose the link. but I can delete the space after I have created a new bullet

This is awkward:

• hitting enter after the link should trigger completion / capture without needed a space
• should be able to remove the space after a link without losing the link
• Also related the highlighting after the // is weird, it's picking up our menu but it would be better if nothing was highlighted until the end when the link is completed or the highlighting starts immediately with the http[s]:// included.
