Is Your Feature Request Related To A Problem? Please describe.

Sometimes when developing Chocolatey websites, it's easy to mistake a locally running version of a website with the live website. This can result in accidently sending wrong links or misinterpreting information.

Describe The Solution. Why is it needed?

We should look to add a "tag" or a "banner" to each locally hosted website that is noticeable at a glance. This would help to easily signify that something is being ran locally rather than the live version.

User Story

As a developer of Chocolatey websites,
I want to easily know if I'm looking at a development or live version of a website,
so that I can accurately determine links and information.

Acceptance Criteria

  • When a website is ran locally, a "tag" or a "banner" is displayed in the layout that is always in view, even if you are scrolled to the bottom of the page.
  • It should be easy at a glance to identify if the website is being ran in a local environment.
  • The tag or banner should not block any information from being seen, for instance covering up words or other functional buttons.
