Should we switch the default typeface?

Currently the typeface is "Avenir," which is the CFPB typeface. The Government Pattern Library uses Source Sans Pro.

Should we default to an open typeface to make this more usable by others while still using Avenir for CFPB projects?

I definitely like the idea of using a free/open source typeface as the default for DOCter!

I'm not 100% sure if the decision to go with Source Sans on the U.S. gov't pattern library is final or not, but I can ask about that. Aligning with them seems like a pretty good idea.

Might be worth considering Cooper Hewitt: The Typeface. I don't love the typesetting choices on that particular page, but the typeface is offered in a range of 7 weights, so we could make some better choices. The idea of using a government-commissioned typeface that is 100% open source is pretty neat.
