I'm by no means an experienced programmer or coder (I wish I was), but I saw your project on r/selfhosted and wanted to offer any help for feedback, documentation, and ideas that you might be open to!
I installed Wiki.js about a week ago, but I found that the documentation and maintenance weren't at the level I expected or needed, although the program is absurdly easy to install and I had it up and running in less than ten minutes—which is something I can't say for the native install of MediaWiki. I've been wanting to create a wiki for myself for a few weeks now but have been running into walls constantly with MediaWiki (the software I was keen on using). The learning curve is so steep that it feels unapproachable at the moment.
I would love to help you in any way I can, even with my overall lack of technical experience. From a potential user's perspective, I hope I can provide you with useful information and support for your project!
