Debug mode printing nothing

It looks like a bug... Can you try this?

That does work. The gem version is 1.5.0.

Yeah, it's because of the logic of this method:

   def debug(value = true) # rubocop:disable Style/OptionalBooleanParameter
      previous_value = @debug_mode

      @debug_mode = value

      result = yield

      @debug_mode = previous_value

      result
    end

It ignores the value of the module variable and if value is nil, it will set @debug_mode to nil. So maybe something like this?

@debug_mode = value.nil? ? previous_value : value
