MeshCommander doesn't compile

I am trying to compile the latest version of MeshCommander to update MeshCentral to resolve an issue (Ylianst/MeshCentral#7127). Unfortunately, the latest commit of MeshCommander doesn't seem to build, no matter what wcc file I use: Ylianst/MeshCentral#7127 (comment)

How do I get this to compile? Is there a wcc file to be used for MeshCentral?

just had a quick look, i opened the NodeWebKit-Commander.wcc in the websitecompiler tool
i selected the input folder as the meshcommander source code
clicked generate and it outputted a file with no errors?
what sorta of errors are you getting?
and what are you trying to compile exactly? or what are you trying to do?

@kaysond yep and the latest sourcecode from meshcommander repo too,
compiles no problems,
i use the wcc thats in the websitecompiler folder in the meshcommander repo
what options do you have ticked in the settings menu of the compiler app?

Ok so I just did the following and it doesn't work:

1. Download the zip of the master branch: https://github.com/Ylianst/MeshCommander/archive/refs/heads/master.zip
2. Download website compiler: https://meshcentral.com/tools/websitecompiler.zip
3. Unzip the source code to C:\Users\aram\Downloads\MC (e.g. full path to top directory of source code is C:\Users\aram\Downloads\MC\MeshCommander-master)
4. Unzip website compiler to C:\Users\aram\Downloads\MC\websitecompiler
5. Run C:\Users\aram\Downloads\MC\websitecompiler\WebSiteCompiler.exe
6. File->Open Configuration->C:\Users\Aram\Downloads\MC\MeshCommander-master\websitecompiler\NodeWebkit-Commander.wcc
7. Choose input web site folder: C:\Users\Aram\Downloads\MC\MeshCommander-master
8. Generate...

I get the same error.

Settings should come from the wcc config file (which appears to be some C#/.net serialized binary format):

Deflate compression: Normal
Minify HTML: None

antivirus maybe?

Don't have one except for windows defender...

Since you can compile it without issues, would you be able to update the copy that's in meshcentral?

Bump. @si458 - any luck figuring out how to compile this for MeshCentral?

I wonder if there would be any appetite for modernizing the build system for MeshCommander? Looks like the main things wcc is used for are selectively enabling codepaths/features and internationalization. Both can be done with pretty much any recent js builder...
