Having problems with the menus

i'm on the latest beta. when i try to add the simple weather preset, the next menu opens behind the first and it's not reachable so you can't install it. also when you try to go full screen it turns into a strip and unusable because you can't see anything. I switched to the beta after reading here but no luck.
