Add property(s) to set the color/font of each sidebar item. #260

Feature Proposal
We have different sidebars for logged in versus logged out users. We would like to be able to highlight sidebar items (with a different color or font) that have been added when a user logs in.
I don't see anything like this in the docs, but if there is already a way to do this, please let me know.
