Forward doesn't work in non-encrypted rooms whatsoever

Describe the bug

Forwarded messages fail to deliver in non-encrypted rooms:
So far I've tried:

• encrypted to encrypted (works)
• encrypted to non-encrypted (doesnt work)
• non-encrypted to encrypted (doesnt work)
• non-encrypted to non-encrypted (doesnt work)

Reproduction

1. go to any room thats not encrypted
2. forward a message to any other room
3. fail

Expected behavior

It should forward as usual.

Platform and versions

1. OS: Windows 11, soon to test on Linux
2. Browser: LibreWolf
3. Sable Version: up-to-date (https://app.sable.moe)
4. Homeserver: architectenterprises.net

Can't reproduce. Next version adds detailed errors to the failed to forward error messages so we can hopefully isolate the issue.
I'm starting to think its actually an issue with synapse homeservers...

Edit: As for why it works in encrypted rooms, in encrypted rooms synapse can't read any of the message data so our metadata that we pass is encrypted, in unencrypted rooms, that metadata is readable by synapse.

Edit edit: then that should work for unencrypted to encrypted... hmm

So anyway synapse reads all your data or something huh /hj?

have to fix one field in the metadata, bc it causes issues sometimes but that it doesn't send at all is news to me 🤔
