There seems to be no activity in this project for quite sometime now.

It is indeed very close to dead as there are no active maintainers. I've moved onto other projects and am not currently doing either java or typescript development. If you or anyone else wants to try moving the project forward, I suggest you fork it and implement some enhancements. I'll update the README file to mention your fork, and can also add you as a maintainer of the npm package so that you can publish updates under the name ts-java.

Sorry I cant be a maintainer as I don't have the expertise to work on compilers.

I've looked at libraries that this translation with active maintainers.

Just a note, I found a fork that was more recently updated and worked for my needs (at least it installed/compiled anyways)...
