Exception when used in Cursor (some times)

Steps to reproduce

It happens some times (sorry, but atleast some safe guard around the exception could be added even without proper repro steps I hope).

I have added Set-PSReadLineOption -PredictionSource None before I start my session but this doesn't seem to help as I get the exception above. And I tried to remove PSReadLine with Remove-Module PSReadLine -ErrorAction SilentlyContinue but it seems to load the default version of PSReadLine shiped with pwsh then.

Expected behavior

No Exception...

Tacking on to this. Am using Cursor to try and work with the Azure CLI via P$ and it's like the more I use it, the worse it gets. I was able to make some meaningful progress by creating a cursor rule that says:

When running PowerShell commands, I should follow these best practices to ensure commands complete properly:
Always wait for the command prompt (PS) to return before proceeding
Wait at least 30 seconds before considering a command as failed
Don't proceed with the next step until the current command is fully complete
If a command seems to be hanging, I should:
Wait the full 30 seconds
Then either:
a) Ask you if you want to continue waiting

But really the issue appears to be with the PSReadLine:

Obviously there is something going on with the buffersize, as I've repeatedly set it and it keeps getting reset to 1.

I've had some success with adding this rule to my custom rules .mdc file

Before running the first command always run Set-PSReadLineOption -PredictionSource None -BellStyle None as we are seeing issues with PSReadLine`

I use https://github.com/JanDeDobbeleer/oh-my-posh as a custom prompt. @jlgill Do you use that or something similar? I saw the Cursor devs mentioning it could cause some interference as well even for non PowerShell shells.

Thanks for reporting the issue. However, Cursor is not a platform that we support.

The platform is PowerShell, it just manifested while using Cursor, it runs commands in a regular terminal.

(Shouldn't it have been closed as not planned if so instead of completed?)
