Match Between Runs does not work for unknown reason

I'm using fragpipe version 23.1, MS fragger 4.4.1,IonQuant 1.11.20

I am trying to run DDA runs with MBR, but immediately at the beginning of the run I'm getting the following message and the run does not start:

This is even though I did designate the runs to experiments as requested.

Now I saw it worked when I unchecked "generate spectral library from search results". Why is this connected?

With "generate spectral library from search results", all experiments will be analyzed together to build a single library, while MBR requires the experiments to be analyzed separately.
