/ic events command not working

The `/ic events` command does not work for geysermc players. There are no errors in console or in-game. Any clue how to fix this? I've also tried the dev build but it didn't help.

Players also have the permission `interactivechat.bedrock.events` and tested with OP. The feature used to work but broke after one of the geysermc updates.
