Code highlighting is not optimal

The code snippets are code-highlighted, but it looks like the highlighting ignores its job halfway through a snippet.

In particular, primitive types are rendered in the same way as the callout to indicate the line number.
One cannot distinguish between a callout and a simple number with a lot of spaces in the code.

In the olden days, a similar piece of code was rendered as

with clear differences between the code and the callouts, although the not type defining lines are similarly boring.
