On the rare times when YouCube connects properly, it's incredibly likely to throw a "Received Empty Message, or Max Message Size Exceeded." error. It's so likely, in fact, that I have not been able to get a single video to play at all.
I don't think it 's a max size being exceeded because I increased the maximum message size by about twenty times
