This might be a lot tougher, but a way to modify/change the web UI labels that are picked up and run through regex for spotting should perhaps have a configurable method that's written into strings.toml for realtime updating. This would add more versatility to the web UI and not require strings to be hardcoded, with up-to-date dictionaries to be downloadable for improvements. Similarly, "activity" types of spots, i.e. SOTA, POTA, WWFF, etc., should all be tags that can be updated as well.
